The Chase is on

1) The hound attacked montag because of the books and the crime he's committed and also cause he burned montag alive.
2) Montag defended himself by burning the hound with a flamethrower.
3) Montag realized that he never meant to kill him and it was just he finally snapped.
4)Montag went to a gas station and used the restroom to clean himself up.
5) Montag almost got killed by a group of kids in a beetle as they swerved almost killing him. Then he wonders if they're the ones who killed Clarisse and gets angry.
