The Chase is on

1) The hound attacked montag because of the books and the crime he's committed and also cause he burned montag alive. 2) Montag defended himself by burning the hound with a flamethrower. 3) Montag realized that he never meant to kill him and it was just he finally snapped. 4)Montag went to a gas station and used the restroom to clean himself up. 5) Montag almost got killed by a group of kids in a beetle as they swerved almost killing him. Then he wonders if they're the ones who killed Clarisse and gets angry.

Response

Montag killed Captain Beatty because he annoyed him by saying books are useless, and made him burn down his own house. He also told him he would kill Faber as well.

Where I got to so far

So far I've only read to page 71 and what I've gotten is that montag's trying to read the books with his wife but she's scared of being caught by chief beatty. She's afraid they will get their house and belongings burned down and all thrown away just for some books.

F451 Ch.1 Questions

1) Montag lives in a society like the idea that people ask questions, and doesnt want them to think for themselves. 2) Clarisse is special because of the way she approaches things, and makes her different as she asks why things happen and not how. 3) The Hound has been programmed to react to Montag because he gave Beatty the suspicion that he was guilty of owning books. 4) It's crazy how the invention of earbuds were a thing in this book and their lives are depressing, the technology doesn't help, there both unhappy and is just a dark mood setting. 5) The author introduces us to Montag to show Clarisse impacts his life and makes him question society and makes him relieve how the past was. 6) Clarisse is the character thats different and has a impact on Montag life compared to his wife Mildred who's like a minor character. 7) All houses are fireproof because the firemen don't put out the fire, so no one will help the people. 8) Mildred overdoses and almost ...

My Impression of The Love Song

My first impression of the The Love Song is just depression throughout the poem is that the author is showing heartbroken moments that the narrator is going through as he cant get attracted by the love of his dream. He never redeems himself to move on and focus on things he likes to do or be patient and wait for the girl to come into hia life like us people do in our present life. This is why i think this poem is about depression because theres no happy moments that he goes through.
